A ritual I have for starting a new year is to review the past year and be grateful for the opportunities and the clients that have came my way. This past year I have had so much to be grateful for! Fantastic weddings and events, numerous commercial projects, I stayed busy all year. On top of all this I have also decided to open Dutch Girl Studio this year.If you haven't checked it out go to www.dutchgirl-studio.com or find us on facebook. So many excited things are happening and I want to share with all of you. I have been given SO much in my life that I am eternally grateful for. One of my favorites gifts has been the one God gave me of having an artistic mind and being able to see the world a little bit differently. I could never possibly thank HIM enough for blessing me with the talent of photography and art. I am SO lucky and blessed to be able to share with others with what God has given me. I don’t claim to be the best out there, as I believe I am FAR from it. But I am so grateful for what I do have and would never take it for granted. Because God has given me so much, I want to use my gift to give to someone else. With all of that being said I have decided to run a contest to give away a free wedding package to a deserving bride & groom. ! I’m SO excited about this and cannot wait to tell you about it. So let’s not wait any longer and get to it!

This contest is open to anyone in the world!

6 hours of wedding day coverage
photographer & assistant
CD with full resolution images

How to enter:
It’s easy! To enter the contest all you have to do is email me at: dutchgirlstudio@gmail.com and be sure to include the following:

- bride & groom’s name
- wedding date & time of ceremony
- wedding location & venue
- photo of you and your fiance’
- and last but not least, send me a mini version of your love story or how you fell in love and why you feel as though you deserve this- be as detailed and honest as you like!

The rules:

- your wedding must be in 2011
- I must be available on your wedding date
- all of my goods and services are free, but if any travel is required you must pay for all expenses involved for me and my assistant (travel, hotel, etc)
- because each wedding date is so valuable, the winner must put down a $500 deposit (to guarantee your date) that will be fully refunded on date of wedding once agreement has been fulfilled by both parties.

Because only one lucky couple can be the grand winner, I will also give away photography time. The next 3 couple's to book their special day with me, will receive with whichever collection they purchase up to 6 hours of photography time for FREE!!!

The contest runs for 2 weeks starting NOW and ends February 3rd 2011. The winner will be chosen on February 4, 2011 and announced on the blog www.silvyphotos.blogspot.com . I’m so excited and cannot wait to read all of your stories! I just know it will be a very hard decision as I’m sure they will all be fabulous.

Yesterday was such a fun and exciting day! I had a agenda booked with cuties. From the early am till the sunset came we enjoyed smiley children. It's so much fun to go home at the end of the day still giggling... Thanks so much to all mom and dad's. I so appreciate the opportunity to captures all the milestones in your precious baby's life!

We have a grand opening day for Dutch Girl Studio Inc.
On February 1st 2011 we will open my new studio in Yulee, FL. I would love for all of you to come visit me! We will be giving away a variety of sessions that day for both Yulee sessions and of course Jesup ones as well! So, as good as I know most mom's out there, we all need a break and get out so take advantage of this day and travel down here to be a part of the grand opening! Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces!

I am so excited to start counting the days until our Florida Studio "Dutch Girl Studio Inc." opens, we are only days away. I ame finishing up small things now, paint, carpet, shelving and etc... I have had several people asking me if this means that Photographic Portraits will be closing and NO that's not the case. Photographic Portraits is my baby, it will be my number one priority to keep things as smooth as possible. I am actually working on getting a good team together to make both studio's be a fun and exciting place to be. I will still be your photographer, there will be no one replacing me. I will be rotating both locations. For people that have had the chance to get to know me a bit better, they do understand that I am never too busy to have too much work, I absolutely love what I do and this is not a job to me! I am very thrilled to be in different locations and give all of you the option to come out to the new studio to come check it out or for Beach portraits without the ridiculous travel fee lol. Soo, if anyone else runs into rumors about me closing my studio, refer to this post, and kindly tell them I am here in Jesup to stay hahaha

Yes, it is cold, freezing cold, way to cold. I think about everyone had enough of it and is ready for some sunshine. Well at least I am. But luckily, even though it's so cold out, we can always get some heart warming smiles inside my studio. Today I had a blast with both these handsome men. I am truly gonna miss Brysen now that he graduated our Baby's first year plan. He's soo much fun and he just makes me smile. (luckily that works the other way around too lol) and Christian showed me his contagious smile today and yes, I did fall in love again haha. More pics of handsome little Christian coming soon!!!

First of all, Happy New Year to everyone of you taking the time to read my blog. I would like to wish all of You a new year filled with good health, wealth, peace, happiness, love and lots of laughter!
Obviously I have been on the slow boat with all these holidays lol but I am getting caught up sooner or later... Felicia & Chris tied the knot on Thursday at Faith Chapel on Jekyll Island. She looked absolutely stunning and Chris just made her glow even more. It was a gorgeous day on the island and love and laughter surrounded the couple throughout their day.
Congrats you guys! Enjoy your honeymoon and if you have a chance to check out this sneak peek, well hope you like it!
